Hoochie Coochie Man: Bo Diddley

I´m a man... así empieza el clásico del blues interpretado por Bo Diddley. Hoy nos quedamos sin el hombre de las gafas, el sombrero y la pintoresca guitarra rectangular, Bo Diddley. Murió en Florida a los 79 años por un fallo cardíaco. Fue un maestro del Blues, y uno de los pioneros del Rock and Roll junto a su amigo Chuck Berry. Decía sentirse influenciado por Muddy Waters y John Lee Hooker, pero en aquella época primigenia de la historia de la música popular, todos los artistas se influenciaban unos a otros. Buddy Holly popularizó varias de sus canciones, grabó con Chuck Berry, fue reconocido como influencia en músicos como Elvis, Rolling Stones, The Beatles, The Who, The Kinks, Bruce Springsteen, The Clash, U2. Conoceis muchas de sus canciones por las versiones de Eric Clapton, John Lee Hooker, etc...

En definitiva un bluesman, uno de los grandes que fue referente para la música popular del pasado siglo.

Novedades: El Secreto de la Piedra Negra en papel en Septiembre

Bueno tengo esto un poco dejado y con nada menos que tres programas más de La Vieja Raza que tengo que subir por aquí. Me pondré a ello en los próximos días.
